Checker brick description
A checker brick has a plurality of walls intersecting at a plurality of spaced intersections. Four walls extend outwardly from each intersection in equidistantly-spaced relationship to one another. One of the four walls at each intersection is a common wall that extends between adjacent intersections. The other three walls at each intersection are independent walls. Mating projections and recesses are provided on the opposite surfaces of the brick at the intersections for interlocking bricks stacked in tiers.
Checker brick character
Checker bricks for hot blast furnace have good volume stability, low creep under high temperature, low apparent porosity and high bulk density.
Checker brick application
The checker bricks are mainly used in hot blast furnace. When hot blast is below 900℃, chequer bricks are use of clay refractory brick; if the temperature for the hot blast is above 900℃, Chequer bricks is use of high alumina brick, mullite brick, silicon brick and etc.

Checker brick packing
Cherker bricks are packed on wooden pallet and then polyethylene film is placed over it, finally the package is tied up with steel strips.
